Geode Heads to TOKEN2049 London

Europe’s Premier Crypto Event

TOKEN2049 London marks the second segment of this year’s TOKEN2049 crypto event, which brings developers, media, and entrepreneurs together, in the financial capital of the world, for keynote speeches, workshops, and unparalleled networking opportunities.

Hosted annually in Singapore & London, this special event brings together an international crowd of crypto enthusiasts, with projects and individuals from all over the globe making the trek to take part. Geode Finance co-founder Simon Furlong did so himself, back when he attended TOKEN2049 Singapore at the end of September. Now, he’s on the road again, to attend the London conference as well!

The London event is bringing out luminaries from throughout the world of cryptocurrency and FinTech, with impressive speakers like Stani Kulechov from Aave, Oliver Linch from Bittrex, Helen Hai from Binance, Uri Kolodny from StarkWare, Andrei Kazantsev from Goldman Sachs, Simon Baksys from Google, Jakob Palmstierna from GSR, and Omar Yehia from C² Ventures (among many others). With such a diverse set of speakers, from a wide range of companies and projects, it’s sure to be a can’t-miss event.

The scale of the event is impressive, and helps to underline the importance of this conference. The venue, Magazine London, is set to be packed with over 2500 attendees, 150 or more speakers, and over 100 journalists and sponsors. Although the crowd won’t be as large as Singapore, which boasted over 7000 attendees, it’s important to note the London event has sold out, with the venue hitting full capacity. Proof that even in a bear market, innovators in the web3 space have no intention of slowing down.

London Crypto Week

London Crypto Week is a week of independently organized side events, which take place around the TOKEN2049 London event. Occurring November 7–13th, it provides a wide range of meetups, forums, parties, and other social events, providing ample opportunity to network with fellow crypto professionals attending the conference. It will be quite an eventful week, with a packed schedule, and all culminating with the main TOKEN2049 event on the 9th and 10th of November. For projects and entrepreneurs that are keen to forge new relationships, cultivate partnerships, or just stay current on what’s ahead with this rapidly changing industry, this is a big week to say the least.

London Calling: Opportunities for Geode

Clearly, one of the biggest draws for many of the attendees is a chance to meet and network with people face-to-face. In an industry that normally runs almost entirely through electronic communication, there is sometimes a challenge in developing great partnerships, as neither party feels they know the other very well. However, oftentimes even a single in-person meeting can move a partnership or investment closer to reality. The people involved are inclined to dig deep into the subject, since they’ve committed their time and energy to be there.

The same holds true for Geode, and with the great experiences we’ve had at previous crypto events we’ve attended. We’re always grateful for the chance to communicate with people about Geode’s unique liquid staking infrastructure solution, so we’re always eager to attend as many of these events as possible, and hopefully cultivate additional partnerships for new Planets and Node Operators within the Geode Universe. Ethereum is the next chain in Geode’s multichain staking universe, and our updated comprehensive documentation provides crucial integration details we can easily share with others. Furthermore, Geode will soon have a testnet deployment of our Ethereum implementation, basically allowing potential partners the chance to test drive our solution, and see how it functions for themselves (we’ll also have more details around these topics in forthcoming articles).

Network with Simon Furlong, Co-Founder of Geode Finance

As mentioned earlier, our co-founder and business development manager, Simon Furlong, is on his way to London to attend the event. Simon will be there to spread the word about Geode, and how our first-of-its-kind liquid staking infrastructure can bring staking yields to any project, and their community. He’ll be in London for the official event, as well as a number of related side events. If you’d like to get in touch with Simon to organize a meeting, you can reach him on the Geode Finance Discord Server (Oranges#4049), or by emailing him directly.

We’ll See You There!

TOKEN2049 London is sure to be a smash hit, just like the Singapore event was, so we’re very happy we have the opportunity to attend this one too. We are confident we’ll meet many other terrific people from around crypto, and we encourage anyone to come talk with us. Unclear on how Geode helps projects increase revenue and TVL? Don’t be shy about it! Come ask us — we’re eager to chat with everyone we can, and showcase what makes Geode standout.
